Warehouse Associate

JOB OVERVIEW

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for off-loading, put-away, picking and staging of material and parts while providing professional quality customer service to all internal and external customers.

 

  • Accountable for movement of all materials within the warehouse and overall appearance.
  • Safe loading and off-loading of raw materials and finished good from delivery vehicles manually by using forklift, pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment.
  • Read and interpret pick list properly.
  • Ensure incoming products are received into applicable systems accurately and outgoing products are packed and shipped appropriately, on time and traced accordingly in system.
  • Pick orders/parts and pack them according to pick list accurately.
  • Issue required purchased and manufactured parts to sales orders for shipping as applicable.
  • Locate and verify materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of all orders
  • Ensure all parts processed are properly identified by part number and work order number
  • Ensure documentation accompanies workflow, handled to completion with correct quantities
  • Ensure production is fully stocked with material and corresponding paperwork
  • Ensure all parts processed are relieved from proper bin location in proper quantity
  • Ensure product is put into the correct stock location
  • Ensure parts are properly secured to skid (strapping, shrink wrap, etc.)
  • Verify all material to ensure that it coincides with proper paperwork.
  • Ship and receive purchased and manufactured parts while ensuring all parts are properly identified by part number and work order number
  • Packing, packaging and labeling containers or parts to properly identify their destination and ensure their protection during shipment.
  • Record all transactions as specified as per In-Housework Instruction
  • Monitor parts and assemblies through our production process and move to in-process storage, the required production process, or receiving/shipping as applicable
  • Able to recognize miss-identified, misplaced or damaged items and proactively assist in finding solutions to storage situations
  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy (cycle counts)
  • Weekly inspections as assigned
  • Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, safety regulations and cleanliness standards
  • Perform any other related duties associated with the position.

 

In your Toolkit

  • One to three years of relevant warehouse experience (shipping/receiving, inventory, work in progress).
  • Previous experience operating forklifts/reach trucks with a valid certification.
  • Training in the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System and first aid.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Previous experience with MRP/ERP systems and the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Must possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Travel is expected to go up to 10% during normal working hours. Assistance at trade shows, parts delivery, etc.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and schedule adjustments, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
