Production Supervisor | Week-End

JOB OVERVIEW

The Production Supervisor will oversee and manage all manufacturing activities during the weekend shift, ensuring that production runs efficiently and economically while meeting customer demands and production schedules. This role is crucial in coordinating essential programs related to manufacturing procedures, including training, quality standards, safety, and housekeeping. This position will be a key leader on the floor, driving team performance and fostering a positive work environment.

• Develop and manage daily production schedules, employee shifts, and time-off requests to optimize workforce efficiency;
• Conduct daily huddle meetings with staff to communicate production goals, address concerns, and review the day’s production plan;
• Assign specific duties to employees based on their skills and production requirements, monitoring their progress to ensure efficiency and effectiveness;
• Facilitate the training and integration of new employees into the manufacturing process, ensuring they understand safety protocols and quality standards;
• Maintain adherence to industry safety standards and ensure that all team members comply with established safety protocols;
• Monitor production quality, conducting regular checks to ensure compliance with company standards and addressing any quality issues promptly;
• Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing team.

PROFILE

• Education: High School Diploma or GED;
• 5 years of experience as a Shift Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment;
• Comprehensive understanding of industry safety standards and regulations, with a proven ability to enforce them.
• Must be physically capable of repetitive lifting, standing entire shift, bending at waist and knees, and twisting to perform job duties;
• Should be comfortable performing repetitive assembly duties to specific quality standards;
• Must be willing to work daily overtime and weekends as needed;
• Utilize a basic understanding of welding processes to guide team members and support production activities.
