Paint Prep

JOB OVERVIEW

To clean/prep or repair defects on a bare metal surface with the use of body filler and seam sealer before the painting process in a production line setting. Reports To: Paint Department Supervisor

• Identify defects to repair.
• Mix/apply body filler.
• Clean welds free of splatter
• Apply seam sealer per work directions.
• Ensure quality at the source per standard operations.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Comply with all company safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
• All other duties assigned.

PROFILE

• Basic Knowledge of paint preparation is preferred but not required.
• Able to multitask.
• Ability to stand, walk the entire shift, reach within hands and arm’s length, stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to wear safety PPE such as respirators, gloves and safety glasses.
• Additional overtime may be required.
